When an HVAC or refrigeration system isn't performing correctly, the problem can sometimes seem obvious.

The goal of troubleshooting shouldn't simply be to make the alarm disappear or get the equipment running again.

It should be to understand why the problem occurred in the first place.

Root-cause diagnosis can help facilities:

  • Reduce repeat service calls
  • Prevent unnecessary component replacement

  • Any alarms or unusual readings
  • Whether the problem has happened before

Instead of simply reporting "the system isn't working," details such as "this is the third time it's tripped during high afternoon demand" give technicians much more useful information to work with.
